New Blog Schedule
Hi guys! So I totally and completely forgot that part of my 100th post was supposed to be letting you guys know about the new post schedule! Whoops?
Several days late and perpetually a dollar short, here it is:
Mondays: Writing Prompts. I will come up with various challenges for you guys and ask you to do some writing.
Tuesdays: Book updates. This is the day when I rant about how hard it is to write a novel, or gloat about my tremendous genius, or weep convulsively onto my keyboard in utter defeat. Also I'll let you know my word count, current challenges, and goals for the next week. (This is mostly to keep myself accountable.)
Wednesdays: Straight-Up advice. Tips, tricks, guidance, steps to learn a new writing skill.
Thursdays: Humiliating Throwback Thursday. Don't worry, I'm not getting rid of this! For some reason I cannot begin to fathom, my throwback Thursday posts always do really well, views-wise, so I can only conclude that you really, really like laughing at how bad I am at writing. Thanks, guys. I love you too. (But in all seriousness, I post these to let you know how very, very ok it is to produce utterly embarrassing and fail-filled work when you start out. Or even when you're in the middle. Everyone does crap work sometimes. What's important is to keep working.)
Fridays: Link-a-Palooza. This may be a "Top Five Terrible Haircuts on Famous Writers," or "10 Songs to Write To." Fridays are usually busy days for me, so I figured I'd make it easier on myself and have Friday posts be more about curating the awesomeness of others into one convenient page, rather than coming up with any awesomeness of my own.
Saturdays: No post.
Sundays: Rant day. I will find some nonsense and skewer it. It might be terrible writing advice, and it might be just plain old terrible writing.
There you have it! There may be some deviation from this schedule, but most weeks you can expect to see it followed.
(This, of course, if a housekeeping post, and does not count as my Tuesday post. Stay tuned for a book update.)
