100th Post!

Well, we made it! Can you believe it? I bet you thought I was going to stop blogging for a month again and totally forget about this whole countdown. But look at that, you stuck with me, and here we are, at post #100 (where I realistically should have been in year 1, not year 3, but shhhhh.)

I promised you all a very special 100th post, and I hope this will not disappoint! One of my big 100th-post-aversary reveals you're already looking at: the new layout/design of the blog! Take a minute and visit the homepage, if you haven't already. I put a lot of time and thought into this redesign, including the new blog title and description, so I really hope you all like it. It's now MUCH easier to find old posts-- no more searching through drop-down menus of years and dates, just scroll down!

Announcement #2: I have just entered a short story contest being hosted by one of the blogs I recommended to you this week, The Write Practice, and another site, Wordhaus. It's the first writing contest I've ever entered and I'm really excited and also very, very nervous about it all. You can check out more details about the contest here. It costs $20 to enter, in case you would like to throw your hat in the ring and join me in my state of nervous anticipation/dread. Every story in the contest will have the option of being published on Wordhaus, so stay tuned for that announcement!
