Countdown to 100 #3: Four Other Blogs You Could Be Reading
In today's special countdown post, I'm going to link you to four other, better, more-read writing blogs you could be reading instead of mine! (Or, you know, "as well as", if you're into that kind of thing.) Because what we need in our lives is more people talking about doing things, rather than actually doing them.
#4: Helping Writers Become Authors; The very title of K.M. Weiland's blog clears up a common misconception (the writer/author issue). Here you can find detailed and insightful posts on every writing topic imaginable, from story structure to believable dialogue.
#3: Terrible Minds; Chuck Wendig is hilarious, irreverent, unpredictable, and always honest. He gives some of the best advice I've ever read. Be warned, though: if you like your truths sugar-coated and free from vulgarity and obscure references, look elsewhere. This blog is not for the faint of mind.
#2: The Write Practice; For something a little friendlier and perhaps more accessible, check out this excellent blog. If you subscribe, you get writing tips and prompts by a rotation of writers, delivered straight to your inbox daily.
#1: Writing About Writing; My personal #1 go-to, this blog, authored by the hilarious and often NSFW Chris Brecheen, offers advice on pretty much everything, as well as samples of his work, anecdotes, and Question and Answer posts. As a bonus, like the blog on Facebook for a steady stream of hilarious writing-related comics and posts.
So there you have it! Four excellent alternatives (or additionals) for your writing blog needs.
Just as a reminder, you can also like this blog on Facebook, although I post less regularly than Writing About Writing (since he's, like, a pro, and I'm still getting the hang of putting pants on every day).
Thank you for joining me, and tune in again tomorrow for countdown post #2!

Thank you for those recommendations! May I suggest, for your 100th blog post, that you treat us to a short story, written by you? I think that ALL your fans would like that VERY!
