Throwback Thursday: Sinners
So most of my throwback Thursday posts are about things I wrote a long time ago.
But not today.
Today, I want to share with you a story I wrote about a month ago, for the The Write Practice/Wordhaus story contest. The judges took a while reading all the stories and deliberating, but today the results were in!
I did not win.
And this makes me mad. It also makes me rail against the injustice of the world, and question my belief that I could win, and re-examine the fundaments of my very existence.
I have yet to master losing gracefully.
Anyway, today I want to share with you my losing story. As a part of the contest it was posted on the Wordhaus website, so you can read it here.
I didn't win the contest, but I did get one small victory: the kind comment left by another contestant. That comment lifted my spirits immensely. I'm not saying I got all the way back up to "Yeah, I'm pretty good," but I took my head out of the oven.
Let me know what you think of the story! Also, poke around on the Wordhaus site and read some of the other entries-- there some great entries!
Also some thoroughly mediocre ones.
But keep in mind that's coming from a very sore loser.
